“Using Business Intelligence Tools”
Gary Schafer
Vice President, Sales and Marketing for InterDyn – LANAC
Technology |
An 18-year veteran of the technology
industry, Gary Schafer is responsible for all of
InterDyn LANAC Technology’s sales and marketing
activities. He also manages LANAC’s relationships with
local Microsoft® Corporation teams as well as any new
business ventures across the company.
Schafer began his career in 1989 at Great Plains
Software, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2001. From
2001 to 2006, Gary was the general manager of inside
sales for Microsoft’s Small, Mid-market Solutions &
Partner organization in the United States. Previous to
that role, he served as vice president of customer
business at Great Plains. He has had leadership
positions across a variety of areas including product
support, product testing, sales and marketing, and
customer research.
Schafer holds a bachelor of science in computer
information systems from Valley City (North Dakota)
State University, with a minor in Physics. Gary also
holds a master of business management from the
University of Mary, Fargo, North Dakota. He and his wife
Joanne and their three children live in Aurora,
Illinois.

Barry Brandman is President of Danbee
Investigations, a company that provides investigative
auditing and security consulting services to hundreds of
companies throughout the country, including many of the
top names in the candy, grocery and tobacco industry.
Recognized as one of the nation’s foremost security
experts, Barry has appeared on network television and
been a keynote speaker at dozens of domestic and
international business conferences. Barry’s articles
have been featured in publications such as Distribution
Channels, Food Logistics, US Distribution Journal and
Food Distributor and he has also authored two top
selling loss prevention manuals.
Barry will discuss the Seven Deadly Sins of Logistics
Security, which will be a revealing look into how
manufacturers, distributors and carriers are victimized
by dishonest employees and vendors. You’ll learn their
devious “tricks of the trade”, and why most security
“safeguards” fail to protect companies from fraud and
collusion. You’ll also hear about actual cases where
hundreds of thousands of inventory vanished without
management suspecting anything… until they received
inventory results or shortage claim reports.

“Implementing the Lean Supply Chain”
Robert O. Martichenko

Robert Martichenko is President of
LeanCor LLC. Headquartered in Florence Kentucky, LeanCor
delivers Third Party Logistics, Supply Chain Management
and Educational services to organizations embracing Lean
and Six Sigma in order to eliminate organizational
waste.
Robert has fifteen years of transportation, consulting
and third party logistics experience. This experience
includes multiple Lean Logistics implementations,
supporting successful organizations including Toyota
Motor Manufacturing and Maytag Appliances.
Robert is a student and teacher of Supply Chain
Management, Logistics, Lean and Six Sigma. He is
currently an active instructor for global programs
offered by the Lean Enterprise Institute and Saint Louis
University - John Cook School of Business.
In addition to authoring the leadership book “Success in
60 Seconds”; Robert has recently co-authored the
logistics management book titled “Lean Six Sigma
Logistics” published by J. Ross Publishing. As well,
Robert currently sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of
“Logistics Quarterly” magazine.
Robert complements his years of logistics experience
with a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from the
University of Windsor, an MBA in Finance from Baker
College and is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt.
Past President of the Cincinnati Council of Supply Chain
Management Professionals (CSCMP) Roundtable, Robert now
serves as an advisor on the CSCMP Educational Strategies
Committee.
Born in Timmins Ontario Canada, Robert resides in
Kentucky and enjoys family time with his wife Corinne,
two wonderful daughters and assorted pets.
